Details:
With monsoon clouds and rain and wildfire smoke for the past month this was the first decent night to observe--except now there's a nearly full Moon, so exposures had to be kept short to avoid swamping the sensor. Even so, the nova's intense red color comes through clearly.
According to the latest AAVSO light curve the star has been dropping steadily from its mag 4.5 outburst on Aug 8 from mag 11-12 to around mag 7.5 currently (Aug 20).
