This Saturday, August 14, I photographed the active region AR 2853 in the calcium wavelength (CaK). To the left of the image you can see two small pores floating in a river of magnetic froth. This plague is the largest that can be observed in the solar disk at this time. To take this photo I used a Sky Watcher Esprit 120 telescope with a Lunt B1800 calcium (CaK) module and a Player One Mars-M camera with a 1.5X VernonScope barlow.
