Details:
Hot and extremely dry conditions are prevalent in Northwestern Ontario with numerous forest fires. This evening we could smell the smoke and a haze was in the air. The sun was filtered by the smoke and safe to view with the naked eye. It appeared as a beautiful striped red ball and made for an easy camera target. I used my Canon 6D MKII DSLR, with a Canon 100-400mm lens, handheld up against a tree without a tripod. I could see sunspots 2835 and 2836 on my LCD screen while focusing and in the subsequent photos.
