Details:
I was watching for the last couple of nights that NLC’s where present each night but I guess I felt too comfortable of not going out. That changed last night. I noticed in the evening a noticeable change in solar wind parameters and I decided if they will climb and will be a chance to see the Aurora definitely I will be heading out. The probability to catch both the NLC’s and Aurora gave me a moral bust. Unfortunately we don’t have more than 3 to 3.5 hours of darkness here this time of the year, so time frame was very limited and the odds to have active Northern Lights during this interval were very low. Beating the odds the Northern Lights showed up briefly last night. By the time I arrived on location and set up my cameras I missed the most active part of the Aurora but still I got a glimpse of it (June 30, 2021, Municipal District of Opportunity No. 17, Alberta, Canada - D850, Nikkor 14-24mm 2.8, ISO 1250,1600 &2000; 2 & 3 seconds exposure; f 2.8, 14mm)
