Details:
There were a couple nice prominences on the sun today, along with some filaments. It was windy and mostly cloudy this early afternoon.....and I would not have set up except there were two prominences that separated themselves from the sun and were just floating in space! Ooooh, spooky! I imaged the larger prominence with the solar disk aligned horizontally and also imaged both in the same frame with the disk at a diagonal (so I could just squeeze them both in the frame). 102mm f/7 refractor, DMK 21AU618.AS camera, Daystar Quark Chromosphere filter.
