Not quite unique nowadays to capture the International Space Station transiting in front of the Sun as the flybys are well predictable, but the weather is the unremitting enemy. I have missed three wonderful transits during the last weeks, traveling even 100 km far to the path of the phenomenon, always a cloud covered the Sun just minutes before phenomenon and moved away after. Today I broke the frustration. Weather here in Seč, Czech Republic, was--frankly--horrible and with no hopes so far. However, I stood up in the path and watched the sky. Eventually, the sky didn't clear up, but thin clouds made me remove the special filter and try to get lucky for 0,6 seconds through the cloudy "window". Just 50 seconds before the transit the Sun went out of the thick cloud and my heart beat so quickly with the wish to have a stable cloudy view of the transit. And, it paid off, at last. Just 20 seconds after the transit another cloud covered the Sun completely again. What a #lucky one!
