Comet C/2021 A1 (Leonard) imaged on May 17, 2021, in a brightness at magnitude 17.4, its coma has an angular size about 12 arcseconds and its tail a length with 24 seconds. The field is located between the stars Dubhe and Merak (Alpha and Beta Ursae Majoris) of the Big Dipper. Its observation is somewhat difficult because it is very close to a star of magnitude 11, towards the bottom right is the small galaxy NGC 3470 with magnitude 14.
