Details:
As expected and already described on Spaceweather the sodium tail was brighter yesterday than on May 8th when I imaged for the first time Mercury with a sodium filter. This exercice was already performed and reported by Andrea Alessandrini who is mastering this measurement since its first image in 2020 and in the last days.
In my case the instruments used are: Refractor ED80 f/D 7 ;
Narrowband filter at 589nm/10nm; Camera Canon EOS 500D
11 exposures of 1mn at ISO800 processed in Siril software.
I have also added a comparison of the pictures taken on May 8 and May 13 where the tail was brighter despite the presence of the Moon.
