Okay I was able to capture the Crescent Moon Venus conjunction hanging right above the marine layer from my house here in Lomita California! :-) I really thought I wasn't going to be able to see it because of an incoming marine layer, but it looks like the astronomy Gods were in my favor! I took images from my house here in Lomita,, CA between 8:15 and 8:25 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time using my Canon Kiss X2 DSLR through a Canon EFS 55-250mm telephoto lens set at 200 mm ASA1600 exposure 1/10 sec.
