Here is the 3D of Active Regions - AR2818, AR2820, AR2821. 3D surface generated on the basis of photon intensity within this ROI of the solar surface. All other undulating areas (other than the optically darker sunspot regions), are Granules formed due to the upward force of Thermal Cells.
