Details:
Phenomenon seen through moderately dense and patchy cirrus cloud. The sundog was particularly intense (photo #1) and east of the sun. The arcs could be seen in succession upwards, extending to about 60 degrees above the south-west horizon at around 17:30h local time (16:30h UT)- photo #2. (My hand is obscuring the sun.) The uppermost arc was concave and brightest, the two below were noticeably fainter, convex above concave - photo #3.
