Details:
Comet C/2020 R4 Atlas. April 14th 0210-0245hrs UT Comet Atlas is currently visible in the early morning sky as it speeds through the constellation Hercules., currently moving at the rate of 4deg/day as it nears its closest approach of 43million miles to Earth on April 23rd. This speed and its faintness at around mag 9.5-10 make it a very challenging object to image. Expose for longer than 90secs and the comet displays obvious trailing. My scope at f7 is really too slow so I had to increase the gain of the asi533mc to get any sort of image for this animation. So this is 23 x 90sec frames covering a period of 34mins.
