Details:
Comet C/2021 C4 (ATLAS) was about magnitude 18 and 341 million miles from Earth in this image taken above the light pollution and haze of Tucson as it was located low above the southern horizon. The comet has a faint tail to the SSE of the coma. The comet was at perihelion in its orbit this past January and will stay around magnitude 18 for the next few months before slowly fading as it moves away from Earth.
