Details:
The end of Aurora season is upon us here at 70°N! Even in the darkest part of the night, twilight remains visible above the northern horizon. Luckily, the northern lights appeared in the southern half of the sky tonight, and I could enjoy a brief but really good show! There was even a corona for a short while! The photos revealed a lot of purple mixed with the more usual green. This season has been so weird as it was the first full season without any tourists (except a handful from within the country). I usually spend most of these nights with small groups, telling them stories about the auroras and taking pictures of them under the lights. I really hope that the next season will be a little more "normal". Officially, the end of the Aurora season is 14-15 April here in Utsjoki, so let's see what the next week will be made of!
