Details:
Blink and it's gone, the aurora band lasted from 0800 - 1130 hrs UTC, the pillar show lasted no more than 10 minutes and the big pillars all of 60 seconds. But what amazing pillars they were quite extraordinary. They moved like a huge wave in the ocean literally spanning the horizon in less than 30 seconds. I have never seen purple pillars before and they could be seen naked eye, as usual a mouth dropping experience.
