Details:
This evening the first of two back to back charter flights out of Christchurch in New Zealand headed into the southern auroral zone. Thanks to the amazing job NZ has done to protect its population from COVID 19, 275 people boarded an Air New Zealand Dreamliner and headed south. We were not to be disappointed! Thanks to the Russell-McPherron effect, and the Southern Hemisphere autumnal equinox occurring during the flight, we saw some astounding auroras for more than 6 hours of the ten hour flight. Best of all we do this all again tonight
