Details:
On Monday 15th a clear bright sunset was followed twenty minutes later by weak anticrepuscular rays over Cecil Kop in the east and then a twilight arch with mirror image crepuscular rays in a developing sunset twilight arch above Murahwa Mountain to the west. In the following half hour the twilight arch brightened and then faded to the accompaniment of a magnificent display of radiating Crepuscular Rays from which the two day old setting Crescent Moon with Earthshine gradually emerged and became more clearly visible as darkness approached. Cameras: Hand-held and tripod mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS40’s in sunset and night scenery modes.
