Details:
During the past week there has been a return, after an absence of several months, of colourful sunrise and sunset twilight arches caused by the scattering of early rising and late setting sunlight from stratospheric aerosols. These aerosols may be derived from distant volcanic eruptions, major wild fires, or man-made pollution. The reason for these latest displays could be the many ongoing volcanic eruptions worldwide. Camera: Tripod-mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS40 in sunset mode.
