Details:
Wow, what a wonderful surprise. My wife and I were having an outdoor fire when the northern skies started to glow. We weren't expecting any auroral activity but the skies lit up fast. These were the best aurora we have seen in 2021. The conditions were mild, it wasn't windy, there was no moon and the skies were really vibrant. You could easily see the red fringes on the brightest aurora with the naked eye. Photos taken with a Canon 6D DSLR and a Sigma 20mm ART lens, f/2.2, at 3 to 6 second exposures.
