A twin of Aldebaran?! Yes and no! Mars in the Golden Gate of the Ecliptic at the Pleiades M45 and the Hyades this evening on March 1st, 2021…
Aldebaran and Mars currently have exactly the same brightness of +0.9 mag. The colors of the main star of constellation Taurus and the neighboring planet of the earth are also identical at the moment. A strange sight… :)
