Details:
Northern lights dance far above the moonlit clouds around 1:30 am on February 23, 2021 as seen from a Seattle-to-Anchorage redeye flight. The auroras are still tens of miles above the cruising altitude of a jet airliner, and hundreds of miles in the distance, but the elevated perspective coupled with the curve of the earth makes it feel like you can reach out and touch them straight out the window. (snapped with an iPhone 11 Pro, thank you night mode)
