Details:
I had been out for two hours already, and the aurora was glowing consistently but with low brightness (couldn't see color with naked eye). Then as I was getting ready to pack up at around 2330 AST, the sky lit up with direct overheard curtains. For the next few hours it got progressively brighter until it was bright enough to have a green shadow.
