Description:
My last image of comet 88P/Howell taken on January 13, 2021 when had faded to 12th magnitude. Its faint green coma with 2.5 minutes angular size, and a well-defined central condensation or "false nucleus", seems elongated in toward southwest. At the bottom of the image is the galaxy NGC 7371. Until the next apparition in 2026!
