Details:
The expected solar wind has arrived, twitching magnetometer needles around the globe, including my own here in the UK. My chart clearly shows the time of arrival, followed by relative calm before an uptick when the wind speed increased from 340 km/s to 540 km/s according to DSCOVR satellite data. It never ceases to be a thrill when the effects of space weather are detected in my own back yard.
