Details:
During the rainy season cumulus formations grow upwards in the late afternoon sometimes developing pileus caps and disturbing nearby thin high cloud both of which can become brightly iridescent due to refraction of setting sunlight by tiny ice crystals. These photographs were taken between 6 and 6.30 pm on Sunday 10th using a hand-held Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS40 compact camera with up to x30 zoom magnification.
