Details:
Due to Covid-19 restrictions was almost on my own at my “house with a view “ on Murambi Heights. Decided to celebrate the arrival of the New Year by setting off a few fireworks in my back garden. The accompanying thirty-second time exposure of the display was taken five minutes into the New Year and serendipitously captured a beautiful starscape in the background which includes the Pleiades Star Cluster beneath the Taurus and Orion constellations above some tall navigation beacon lit masts on nearby Transmitter Hill. The surrounding wisps of thin high cloud are visible due to reflection of light from the waning Full Moon which had risen to the north east. Camera: Tripod-mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS40 in starry sky mode.
