Hi Tony, on the night of Dec 21st/22nd my mate Paul Martin and I did an Ursid meteor watch from Beaghmore Stone Circles in N. Ireland. The night was completely clear, we were monitoring the sky for several expected outbursts predicted this year. Between 01.00 and 05.30 local time we observed 72 Ursid Meteors, this is my personal highest Ursid count to date. The activity seemed to increase from 03.00 to 04.00, on several occasions we observed two Ursids at the same time, we also witnessed three fireballs. Included are a few sky images and star trails from our watch and one faint Ursid which I captured on camera.
