Details:
The North Carolina High Country had clear skies all day 122120, then lots of clouds and wind blew in right before the big event. From Grandfather Mountain the views of Jupiter and Saturn over Mount Mitchell, highest mountain East of the Rockies, were fleeting, but here are some photos between the clouds. Winds were at 35mph with crazy car rocking gusts. Most of my shots were lost to shake, rattle and roll, but here are a few keepers. Hope you got to see this rare happening. The last photo with Planet's Moons was made with a 300mm f2.8 lens formerly owned by Hugh Morton. The great man who made Grandfather Mountain the great experience it is.
