Details:
Saturn meets Jupiter in a very close conjunction. Such conjunctions happen every 20 years or so but are not always well placed in the sky to be observed. Also, they are not always this tight. The next similar event will be visible on March 15, 2080. If you look closely you can see the Galilean satellites next to Jupiter. You can also see Saturn as an oval. My telescope is to small to resolve the ring. Shot through a Pentax 75 SDHF telescope (500mm focal).
