Details:
What a peaceful night this was with clear skies and the peak of the Geminids about to start. On December 13th, 2020 I set up to photograph the merging of Jupiter and Saturn in the western sky at one of my favorite locations in Maryland. I was lucky enough to capture a sporadic meteor flying across the sky during this series of photos. The Geminids were just about to breach the horizon, so it definitely was not a Geminid, but 15 minutes later we saw a enormous earth-grazing fireball shooting directly at the two gas giants in the western sky. What a magical way to start the peak night of the geminids.
