Citizen Astronomy. Another, yet older LX3 capture. Searching for some old images. Crater Gassendi, located on the north side of Mare Humorum. It is recognized as an example of collision crater.
With 110 km diameter has a complicated “ruptured-cavity” arrangement (Rimae Gassendi). Two adjacent craters known as “A” (or Klarkson) and B are seen on the north side of Gassendi. There are a bunch of no less than twenty small craters associated to Gassendi´s name. Additionally, to that, as the image shows, Crater Gassendi display a sort of curious “luminous trail” inside the crater itself. Probably due it intricated and violent impact collision surface’s origin. As well as different solar-reflection light-incident angles.
