Details:
Taken between 10:25PM (11th) to 12:34AM (12 August) before moon rise at 8000 feet altitude ~20 miles east of Ten Sleep, Wyoming in the Bighorn Mountains under Bortle 1 skies. This composite consists of 10 images. The brightest Perseid was about 0 magnitude near the Double Star Cluster at right. This year's shower produced lots of vivid green meteors with smoke trains. During the 20 minutes after this image I witnessed 3 fireballs ~ -4 magnitude but in the opposite direction. I eventually turned my camera around to the west and I will upload what I captured in the next 3.5 hours in a few days. Stay tuned! Post-processed in Photoshop.
