Comet NEOWISE C/2020F3 and the starlink satellites. This image should raise awareness about how we are polluting the space. Elon Musk would be one of the most powerful men in the world by 2027 because who controls the internet, will control the world. But what if someone takes over the control mr. Elon Musk? What if a country like India, China or a new ISIS could figure out how to shoot one or multiple trajectories at the precise angle and speed to start a chain of impacts hitting those satellites? What would happen if an out of control satellite hits one of your 12000 satellites? History of satellites teaches us that these scenarios have had happened before and have the potential to be repeated again. As in case of chinese fengyun-1C satellite destroyed by china in orbit using a missile in 2007, a few years later in 2013 the debris collided with a russian satellite called BLITS. What if they get hit by meteors? Those 12000 satellites are very beneficial for all of us, but you have to be very very careful because aside from ruining the night sky for astrophotographers and astronomers and every other human being, the situation might get out of "your" control and render the Earth's outer space unusable for thousands of years and people will lose every aspect of their modern life, satcoms, sat TV, GPS, GLONASS, BAIDU, and other satellite navigation systems, Drones, military operations everything that works with the help of satellites might not work. It has the potential to throw us 50 years back. Its very unlikely to happen, but the possibility is not zero! Fellow Astrophotographers!!! Its just the beginning. Please share if you liked it. Shot using Canon EF 50mm f1.8 ii lens and ZWO ASI 178MM CMOS camera using Baader L CCD filter taped to the backside of the lens.
