Details:
Last night I captured an early Persied when, just as it was getting dark (Astro-dusk ends at 10:14 here and this capture was at 10:06pm) a bright fireball flashed over the lake. My camera was pointing in the right spot! It was hot and muggy even after the sun went down, with lots of haze on the horizon but this Perseid was so bright it didn't matter. It has lovely colours from blue at the start, to green, pale yellow and then red before it glows white and ends abruptly. The lake and Milky Way framed this Perseid nicely, with Scorpius on one side and Jupiter and Saturn on the other. Nikon D810a 14mm f/2.8 iso 3200 1x30s Star Adventurer tracker.
