Details:
With Comet NEOWISE diminishing in size and brightness, this was probably the last photo session for its apparition. Taken from an RC model airport a few miles north of Cody Wyoming on July 24. The Comet was directly under the bowl of the Big Dipper as the International Space Station rose in the northwest and passed by. The lingering glow of the just-set crescent Moon added some color to the clouds, and there was a great deal of green Airglow in the upper atmosphere , visible to the naked eye. Nikon D5300 dslr with Tokina ATX Pro 11-16mm set to an equivalent focal length of 21 mm. Exposure was a full 30s ecs. at f/2.8 using ISO 800 , daylight color balance. Image post processed in Affinity Photo , reduced in size for publication and sharpened , with assist from Nik Dfine to mitigate sensor noise. Your stupid photographer forgot to set his ISO up to 6400 nightspeed from the 800 dayspeed. Oh well...
