Details:
On Wednesday the 15th, I planned to go west and north of Topeka for dark sky, but before sunset, high clouds were blasting across Kansas in the jetstream, so I backtracked to Kill Creek Park nearer to home. Many families were out enjoying the comet with binoculars in the deepening dusk as I set up the gear. The clouds arrived as I began making these three guided exposures. A park ranger's blue flashers illuminated the dead tree and grass in the last image. All with an 85 mm NIKKOR lens @ f/3.4 on a Canon Rebel XTi. Exposures range from 73 to 348 seconds at ISO 200.
