Details:
Corfe Castle in Dorset England is an 11th century castle destroyed by parliamentary forces during the civil war in 1646. Providing a dramatic foreground for comet Neowise this was taken just after dusk on 17/07 in a relatively dark sky being on the isle of Purbeck. This is a single exposure with just a fast portrait lens without use of any photo manipulation apart from increasing colour and contrast levels. The blue ion tail, invisible to the eye stands out quite nicely in this image.
