Details:
Waking up at 3:00AM is no picnic, so I eagerly awaited a clear sky for an evening viewing. I was somewhat rewarded Monday night. I went up to my apartment rooftop, with my sons David and Rhodondo, to observe sunset, and waited for comet NEOWISE to appear. Through the haze of New York City air, and light pollution, it was difficult to locate the comet. It was not naked-eye, and I probed with my camera until it was finally viewed by the camera's LCD at 9:46 PM. I continued taking photos for about 10 minutes until the comet disappeared into the clouds hugging the horizon. Details; Canon EOS Rebel T5i camera, 2.5s exposure, f/4.5, ISO 400, Canon EF100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 USM ll lense set at 100mm, manual focus, remote shutter release, Gitzo tripod.
