Details:
This comet is beautiful! It was visible to the naked eye and was gorgeous in binoculars. I was able to observe it for almost an hour and a half after the start of astronomical dawn. The image is a vertical mosaic of two shots taken with a Canon 70D and 135mm lens on a stationary tripod ... no tracking required! The comet's coma was at about 7 degrees elevation and the dust tail was at least 5 degrees long. I also captured the fainter blue gas tail just to the left of the dust tail. Exposures were 3.2 seconds at F2 and ISO2000.
