Details:
After a long dry spell of naked- eye visible comets, with comets Swan and Atlas breaking up, comet NEOWISE was much anticipated. On the first dry, cloudless night, I went up on my apartment house roof with my son, David. The sky was hazy and the air was very humid. The comet finally appeared at 4:23 AM. It wasn't naked-eye, and not visible in my 7x35mm binoculars, but I captured the comet with my telephoto lense set at 400mm. Not the bright comet as reported by many, but at last a viewable comet, if only through my camera! Details: Canon EOS Rebel T5i camera, 3.2sec. exposure, f/5.6, ISO 800, Canon EF100-400mm f4.5-5.6 USM II lense, set at 400mm, manual focus, remote shutter release, Gitzo tripod.
