Details:
Slightly hazy but otherwise clear skies allowed for this comparison to be made. The slight shading of the northern (upper) areas on the face of the Moon at maximum eclipse is noticeable. Both images were taken using a Canon 7D at ISO 100, 1/250 sec exposure through a Skywatcher 102mm Maksutov-Cassegrain scope at f/12.7
