Details:
Just viewed Comet NEOWISE with 7x40 binoculars from Portal, AZ. Found the comet at 4:20 am after it rose above some thin haze. I could see a short v-shaped tail before loosing the comet in growing twilight at 4:40 am. This was a quick "grab" shot of Comet NEOWISE shortly after I found it with 7x40 binoculars. Focus isn't as good as it could be but I was in a hurry to capture an image in the quickly growing twilight. You can easily see the short fan shaped tail which was also apparent in binoculars. Weather permitting I will continue to observing it in the coming days (mornings). Shot with Nikon D7200 and 70-300mm Nikon zoom. No tracking mount.
