SOHO(Solar and Heliospheric Observatory) will be able to follow the comet to the doorstep of that encounter. SOHO coronagraphs are watching Comet NEOWISE (C/2020 F3) plunge toward the sun. Comet NEOWISE (C/2020 F3) moves out toward the center of the right in this time-lapse image from the ESA/NASA Solar and Heliospheric Observatory on June 22-27, 2020. The image of the sun at the center is from NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory. cf. July 3: 0.7 mag., July 15: 2.2 mag., July 20: 3.1 mag. (CBET 4804). Image credit: ESA/NASA/SOHO/SDO/GSFC.
