Details:
A persistent layer of cloud to the east of Mutare cleared in the early hours of the morning to reveal the Last Quarter Moon close to Mars above Cecil Kop Nature Reserve. The Lunar Alps and Apennines were brightly illuminated on the Moon’s terminator just above the Sea of Rains and the already bright orange-red colour of Mars matched the colour of some security lamp illuminated Hibiscus flowers in my garden. Camera: Hand-held Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 in manual, sunset and night scenery modes with up to x60 zoom magnification.
