Details:
Comet C/2019 U6 (Lemmon) This comet has been having its ups and downs in brightness, brief pulses, like breathing. Last night I glimpsed it naked-eye slightly on the rise — to magnitude 6.4. The comet has also been taking us on a tour of some open star clusters — M41 in Canis Major, M46 and M47 in Puppis, and now NGC 2479. Here we see it near open star cluster NGC 2479 (to its left) ... and a tree.
