Details:
I have been preparing for the shooting of this eclipse for a long time: a month before this shoot (on May 7, 2020), I shot the Moon with my Canon EOS 60D camera (with 18-135mm lens, on the tripod) at about the same height above the horizon. The maximum phase (on June 6, 2020) occurred when the height of the setting Moon was 2 degrees above the sea horizon (over the Sea of Japan). During the eclipse, the transparency of the atmosphere was also very good, the darkening of the southern part of the Moon was barely noticeable to the naked eye. I am attaching two collages from my comparative photographs of the Moon for these two dates: landscape originals (bottom) and resized images of the Moon (at the top) with altered contrast (for better visibility of the eclipse). The weather was excellent, there were no clouds and fog over the sea, as during the Strawberry Moon on June 17, 2019, which I also photographed over the Sea of Japan. Best regards, Filipp Romanov (23 years old, amateur astronomer since 2009, discoverer of variable stars and planetary nebulae candidates, possible double stars and transients, author of two scientific papers published in scientific journals https://filipp-romanov.livejournal.com/27664.html ). twitter.com/romanov_filipp instagram.com/romanov_filipp
