Details:
I photographed the huge solar protuberance with a Lunt 60mm Ha telescope. If my estimations are correct it is as high as 10 earths stacked on top of each other. I then switched the telescope for my WO FLT-110 Apo refractor and photographed the thin crescent of Venus in broad daylight.
