Details:
The photo of this ring in the sky was taken from Richland, WA looking north. We had seen something small flying or floating in this area and about 20 minutes later this appeared. A quick Google references a few similar sightings at different locations in the world over the last 5-10 years with possible explanations including fireworks and a transformer blowing. There is also video on the web of someone who created a machine to make a similar type of smoke ring. This appeared at sunset and was in the sky for about 5-10 minutes. The ring color appeared to be blue and there was a very dim trail to the ground.Take with a Canon 5D with a 400mm.
