Details:
First chance to get a look at the bright (5th mag.) Comet C/2020 F8 Swan from near McDonald Obs. in Fort Davis, TX. Bright twilight at 06:11am dst (UT 11:11:33 2020/05/03 and only at a little over 4d altitude in the SE sky. Image taken with Sonya6400 dslr w/50mm f2.8 lens, iso 6400, single 4s exp on tripod. Full field and cropped view just shows the 5th mag. comet. Perhaps a hint of the tail at pa230d as shown in the SkyXPro charts. Telescopic images from the Southern hemisphere are showing beautiful tail out to the 4-6d length as seen on other posts in the gallery.
