Details:
The sun was very low and in these times of few jet trails two 747 cargo planes flew straight towards the setting sun leaving trails at lower levels than usual. The condensation trails, lit from below left a pair of shadows on high level haze above the trails which extended across the whole sky to the opposite horizon. The stitched together wide angle image is not great but shows just how long the shadows were. Very unusual. In fact I have never seen such a thing before. And there was a sun pillar to go with it.
